Legalisation requirements for Thailand

Document for use in Thailand first needs to be legalised by way of FCDO Apostille and then submitted to the Consulate of Thailand for further attestation.

On the 30 June 2026, the Kingdom of Thailand deposited its instrument of accession to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (1961 Apostille Convention). It will enter into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. 

FEES

The consular fee is £10 per document.

PROCESSING TIME

The consular processing time is likely to be 3-4 working days.

IMPORTANT NOTES

A photocopy of the Apostilled document is required upon submission to the Consulate.

Bundled documents are accepted.
