Legalisation requirements for Turkmenistan
Document for use in Turkmenistan first needs to be legalised by way of FCDO Apostille and then submitted to the Consulate of Turkmenistan for further attestation.
FEES
The consular fee is between £40-£45 per document for standard service or £85-£90 per document for express service. The fee may vary depending on the currency exchange rate and the exact amount can be confirmed on submission to the Consulate.
PROCESSING TIME
The consular processing time is likely to be 10-12 working days for standard service and 4-5 working days for express service.
IMPORTANT NOTES
A photocopy of the document is required on submission to the Consulate.
Each document should be certified and legalised separately and securely bound with a ribbon and sealed by the notary public.
A Letter of Authorisation from the document holder is required to be printed on letterhead paper (if applicable) and signed, authorising the agents to have the documents legalised on their behalf and explaining the reason why they need the document legalised for use in Turkmenistan. A copy of document holder’s passport is also required to be attached.
Documents from the British Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories must be Apostilled in the region of origin as well as by the UK FCDO before submission to the Consulate.
